Brian E. Feldman is the Tax Partner of Philpott Meeks, and is responsible for providing tax, business management and financial consulting to high profile and high net worth clients in the entertainment industry.
Brian graduated from Hofstra University in New York with an MBA in Accounting in 1989 after which he relocated to Los Angeles and joined Ernst & Young‘s Downtown Tax Practice. Upon passing the CPA exam he began pursuing a Masters of Business Taxation which he earned in 1994. Through his tenure at Ernst & Young he fast-tracked to Senior Tax Manager in 6 years as he gravitated toward the high net worth individual clientele of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneurial Services Group and eventually with their Business Management Group.
In 1998 Brian joined the Beverly Hills business management firm of deBlois, Mejia & Company where he served as director of the tax services department. While there, he provided domestic and international tax consulting services for actors, writers, directors and producers as well as other high net worth individuals in the entertainment industry. In 1998 he was invited to join the planning committee of the California Society of CPA‘s Education Foundation‘s annual Entertainment Industry Conference where he has continued to serve having been the Conference‘s chair or co-chair on four of the annual events.
Leaving deBlois Mejia & Company in 2004, Brian joined Bob Philpott and his firm as Senior Manager in charge of the Tax Department where he continued his career path of providing domestic and international tax consulting services for actors, writers, directors and producers as well as other high net worth individuals in the entertainment industry. In 2011 Brian was named a partner of Philpott Meeks.
