Bob Philpott

1949 - 2015

Bob Philpott founded Philpott Meeks in 1984 and was responsible for overseeing the wealth, career and life management affairs of some of the most accomplished entertainment industry professionals in America, helping grow the business into the nationally recognized firm that it is today.

Before enrolling in college, Bob served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 - 1970, undergoing training as a Scout Sniper attached to the First Marine Brigade. After leaving the military he attended the California Polytechnical University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1974. He then went on to work in the Audit Division of Price Waterhouse until 1978, achieving his CPA designation in 1976.

In 1978, Bob joined the Los Angeles business management firm of Traubner & Flynn, where he began expanding his skills and expertise by helping manage the affairs of the firm‘s affluent and high profile clientele. Leaving in 1984, Bob opened his own practice in the San Fernando Valley, continuing his business management work with a growing clientele of entertainment industry celebrities and executives.

Bob will be remembered as a pioneer in his industry, with a special gift for making anyone, no matter how rich or poor, feel important. His legacy lives on through Philpott Meeks, with his values and vision instilled in the heart and soul of the company.
